PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR PERFORMANCE AND REHEARSAL ON SUNDAY, MAY 20TH: Please arrive at Westminster Elks Lodge (3850 Elk Drive) by 3:15 pm. We perform from 4:00 until 4:20pm. Please wear your blue band shirt, khaki band slacks, dress shoes and socks. Parents are always welcome to attend for free.

Please bring dinner money as we will stop for dinner on the way to our evening rehearsal.

Please work really hard and be ready for Saturday’s performance, and Sunday’s performance and rehearsal.

Trip Update: We still need to come up with a total of $700 to cover the remaining costs for both trips. We are still hopeful that we can get some donations and gigs before we leave on our trips. But, each of us should plan on paying a maximum balance of $70 for our trip to New Orleans in June.

Also, Sacramento musicians – We are performing with Kristy Reed’s Band on Friday afternoon. They would like us to learn Avalon, Take the A Train, Lazy River, and Please Don’t Talk About Me. All the attached lead sheets are in the correct concert keys, except Please Don’t Talk – that has to be transposed to the key of F. I’ve uploaded these PDF’s to our website, along with an audio recording for each.

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR SPECIAL PERFORMANCE AND REHEARSAL ON SUNDAY, APRIL 1ST: Please arrive at Flesher-Hinton Music Store by 1:00 pm.  Please wear your blue band shirt, khaki slacks, dress shoes and socks. We will then car pool to our Boulder Friends of Jazz performance at A Spice of Life Event Center (Flatirons Golf Course), 5706 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder. Driving directions can be found on the Event Calendar page. Alex and Dallas will meet us there by 2:00 pm.  We perform from 2:30 until 2:50 pm. We will then join the jam session until 5:00 pm. Parents, friends and relatives are very welcome to attend, but the Boulder Club’s policy is to charge your family and friends $3.00.

A drum set and piano will be provided for the performance.

Please be sure all selections are prepared and memorized for our Denver Jazz Club performance set on Sunday (New Orleans Stomp, Petite Fleur, and I’ve Found a New Baby).  The set order sheet and reference recordings can be found on the Downloads page

Please bring dinner money as we will stop for dinner on our way to Sunday evening’s rehearsal.

Please remember to bring your listening CD’s on Sunday.

We’ll continue working on the half step exercises on pg. 9. Please also prepare pg. 28.

Tim – please remember to bring your March dues on Sunday.

All trip balances must be paid on Sunday.
