PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR PERFORMANCE AND REHEARSAL ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17TH: Please arrive at the Westminster Elks Lodge (3850 Elk Drive) by 3:30pm. Please wear your maroon band shirt, khaki slacks, dress shoes and socks. Documents can be found on the Downloads page. Driving directions can be found on the Event Calendar page. We will perform around 4:00 pm. Remember to bring dinner money, as we will car pool to dinner on our way to rehearsal.
Please make sure both selections are completely memorized for Sunday’s performance: Panama and When the Saints Go Marching In.
Please remember to have your newspaper article prepared for Sunday’s rehearsal (except for Kyle and George). Please also be working on your transcription which will be due on November 14th. Alex and Ray need to have their notebooks alphabetized no later than this Sunday.
Please also prepare the following selections for Sunday’s rehearsal: After You’ve Gone, Black Bottom Stomp, Jazz Me Blues, Royal Garden Blues, and Washington and Lee Swing.
Please practice Bill’s improv. book on pp. 8, 9 and 18, and be sure to work with his CD as well. Also, please work on your ‘half step below dominant sevenths’ exercise.
