PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR PERFORMANCE AND REHEARSAL ON SUNDAY, JULY 18TH: Please arrive at the Westminster Elks Lodge (3850 Elk Drive) by 3:30pm. Please wear your blue band shirt, khaki slacks, dress shoes and socks. Documents can be found on the Downloads page. Driving directions can be found on the Event Calendar page. We will perform around 3:45 pm. Remember to bring dinner money, as we will car pool to dinner on our way to rehearsal.
Please prepare and memorize the following selections for our upcoming Evergreen Jazz Festival performances: Midnight in Moscow, Bourbon St. Parade, St. James Infirmary, Washington & Lee Swing, Basin St. Blues, Maple Leaf Rag, Royal Garden Blues, The Mooche, Dead Man Blues, When the Saints Go Marching In, & That’s a Plenty.
Please listen to the recordings which can be found on our website (www.bandresourcesunlimited.com/downloads): Please practice Bill’s improv. book on pg. 37, and be sure to work with his CD as well.

EVERGREEN JAZZ FESTIVAL & WORKSHOPS: Tues, July 20 and Thurs, July 22 – We will attend jazz workshops at Evergreen Christian Church (27772 Iris Dr) from 9:45am until 1:30pm (pizza lunch provided each day). Everyone should plan on about 8am until 3:15pm, including commute/car pooling time. (Ed will take Rebecca and Alex D.; Kyle, Matt, and Ray will each get there on their own; Molly and Alex B. will go together, and Armando, Cara and Daniel will car pool together). Please bring your wire music stand.
We will also attend the festival on Fri, 7/23 (Noon-6:45pm). Plan on about 10:15am until 8:30pm. We will perform on Sat, 7/24 from 10:15 until 10:45am and attend until 6pm. Please plan on 7:45am until 7:45pm on Saturday. We perform on Sun, 7/25 at 10:15 until 10:45am and then again from 1:30 until 2:15pm. We will attend the festival until 4:45pm. Please plan on 8am until 6:30pm on Sunday. Immediate family members can attend the Sunday 1:30pm Spotlight on Youth Performance at the Lake House for $5.00 each. Otherwise, regular festival badge costs apply. Please be sure to bring food money for all 3 festival days.
There is no Sunday, July 25th rehearsal.
