PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR REHEARSAL ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 5TH: Please arrive at Flesher Hinton Music Store by 6:15pm. Kyle’s tuba lesson will be at 5:30pm.
Molly & Alex – please remember to have your newspaper article prepared for Sunday’s rehearsal.
Everyone be prepared to perform and show your prepared transcription solo on Sunday.
Please practice Bill’s improv. book on pp. 9 and 20, and be sure to work with his CD as well. Also, please work on your ‘half step below dominant sevenths’ exercise.
Please prepare the following selections for Sunday’s rehearsal: Black Bottom Stomp, Ice Cream, Singin’ the Blues, Washington and Lee Swing, Jazz Me Blues, and Royal Garden Blues.
It’s looking like the December 12th rehearsal will be moved to 10:30am until 1:00pm.
There will be a December 26th rehearsal to prepare for our birthday party gig on the 31st.
We will perform at the Mile High Jazz Festival on Thursday, February 3rd at 6:55pm. We’ll meet at Ralston Valley HS at 6:00pm and finish around 8:00pm.
Remember that we’ve added the March 8th Fat Tuesday gig to our schedule from 3 until 6pm in Arvada.
