This is the Annual Denver Jazz Club Potluck Picnic. Please wear your maroon band shirt, khaki band shorts, low cut socks and tennis shoes. Brats, burgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to share – salad, appetizer, dessert or snack.
Please be sure all 6 selections are prepared and memorized for our Denver Jazz Club performance set on Sunday. The set order sheet can be found on the Downloads page.
We will perform at 2:45-3:00pm and 3:45-4:15pm. Parents, family members and friends are invited to join us at the picnic!
We will car pool from the Westerbergs by approximately 5:15pm. We’ll have our regular weekly rehearsal at Flesher-Hinton, as soon as everyone arrives. Driving directions can be found on the Event Calendar page.
Please remember to bring your listening CD’s to Sunday’s rehearsal.
We will rehearse: St. Thomas/Caravan, Canal Street Blues, Avalon. Cornet Chop Suey, Them There Eyes, Don’t Blame Me, and Blue Skies (try lifting this off the Cornet Chop Suey recording).
Please work really hard and be ready for Sunday’s rehearsal and performance.
