CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR SACRAMENTO MUSICIANS FOR A VERY SUCCESSFUL SACRAMENTO MUSIC FESTIVAL! YOU WERE RECEIVED SO WELL AND NOW HAVE LOTS OF CALIFORNIA FANS OUT THERE!! I GOT THE AWARDS SUMMARY FROM KRISTY – CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN TO ALEX AND RICO FOR BEING SELECTED TO THE 2012 DRAGA’S PICKS SACRAMENTO ALL-STAR YOUTH BAND – WHAT AN HONOR!! THERE WERE ONLY 14 TOTAL MUSICIANS SELECTED OUT OF THIS YEAR’S 15 PARTICIPATING YOUTH BANDS!!!

WE HAD A RECORD NUMBER OF 6 MUSICIANS OUT OF OUR POSSIBLE 8, RECEIVE OUTSTANDING SACRAMENTO YOUNG MUSICIAN AWARDS!!! NO OTHER BAND HAD MORE THAN 3 MUSICIANS SELECTED FOR THIS AWARD – THAT IS REALLY SOMETHING GUYS – CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR PERFORMANCE ON FRIDAY, JUNE 1ST: Please arrive at Flesher-Hinton Music Store by 1:00 pm. I will need everyone to meet there in order to get our whole band situated in the car pool up to Ft. Collins.  We are performing at Avo’s – 605 S. Mason, Fort Collins). We will hopefully arrive by 2:30 pm. Driving directions can be found on the Event Calendar page. Please wear your maroon band shirt, khaki slacks, dress shoes and socks. We perform from 3:00 until 4:00 pm, and then again from 6:45 until 7:00pm. Parents, friends and relatives are very welcome to attend. Please bring dinner money as we will eat at Avo’s.

A drum set and piano will be provided for the performance.

Please be sure all selections are prepared and memorized for Friday’s set.

New Orleans Trip Update: Thanks to everyone’s hard work, we won’t need to collect anymore trip payment money – great job! 

SACRAMENTO MUSICIANS – WE HAVE CONFIRMED A RECORDING STUDIO TO DO OUR ANNUAL CD RECORDING. THIS IS THE DATE/TIME: Sun, 6/17: 6:30-10:30pm, so we will go from 3:15pm at Westminster Elks Lodge until 10:30pm at the recording studio.

These are our available performance dates – as far as I can tell so far. Please let me know as soon as possible if you have a conflict with any of these dates:
