PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE ON SUNDAY, November 27TH: Please arrive at Flesher Hinton Music Store by 3:15pm. Please wear your blue band shirt, khaki slacks, dress shoes and socks.

Please remember to bring your listening CD’s to Sunday’s rehearsal.

Practice your major triads plus six around the circle of fourths, on page 6. We’ll continue working on the half step exercises on pg. 9 as well. Please also prepare pp. 15-16.

Everyone should now have their transcribed solo complete from memory and on manuscript paper – please be prepared to play your solo for us on Sunday.

Please be sure all selections are prepared and memorized for our Bull and Bush performance set for Sunday. This includes: Bourbon Street Parade, Si Tu Vois Ma Mere, Blue Skies, St. Thomas, All of Me, St. James Infirmary, and Royal Garden Blues.

The updated set order sheet and all audio recordings can be found on the Downloads page

We will also prepare for a possible joint performance with Your Father’s Mustache Band later in the evening: After You’ve Gone, Bill Bailey, Caravan, Five Foot Two, It Don’t Mean a Thing, I’ve Found a New Baby, Panama, Them There Eyes, Washington and Lee Swing, and Wolverine Blues.

We will car pool from Flesher-Hinton by approximately 6:00pm. Our 6:45-9:00pm performance with Your Father’s Mustache Band will be at the Bull and Bush Pub (4700 Cherry Creek South Dr). Driving directions can be found on the Event Calendar page. Please tell your parents, relatives and friends that there is no cover charge, but tables are usually filled up by 5:00pm. Please remember to bring dinner money as we will eat at the Pub.

A drum set and piano will be provided for the performance.

Please work really hard, enjoy your private lessons, and be ready for Sunday’s rehearsal and performance.

PLEASE DON’T FORGET – We are in the process of updating our website, so please submit a paragraph of bio. info that I can post on the website about you. Please check out the postings that are already up there to give you some ideas on how to write your paragraph. Please email those to me as soon as possible. We still need a bio from Mason.

NEW ORLEANS TRIP UPDATE – the upcoming 6 day New Orleans trip is now set for June 11 through 16 (1 additional day longer than previously announced). During that time we will have numerous performance opportunities – a jazz festival, a jazz workshop, and many gigs at a variety of venues.

Please double check that those dates will work – I’ll get the air reservation together. Soon we’ll collect the airfare checks – probably by Sunday, December 4th.
