PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR REHEARSAL ON SUNDAY, October 23RD: Please arrive at Flesher-Hinton Music Store  (3936 Tennyson, Denver) by 6:15pm. Driving directions can be found on the Event Calendar page.

Tim, your tuba lesson will be from 5:30 until 6:15 pm. Please bring a $40 check payable to Bill Clark.

Dallas, Ben and Tim – Please remember to bring your October Dues.

Rico, please bring back your 2 large band shirts on Sunday.

Everyone, Professor Bill Clark will be working with us throughout the rehearsal, so please be very prepared.

We may have 1 or 2 pianists auditioning on Sunday, so please be prepared to play Royal Garden Blues several times.

Please remember to bring your listening CD’s to Sunday’s rehearsal.

Practice your pentatonics around the circle of fourths. Also, your major triads plus six around the circle of fourths, on page 6. We’ll continue working on the half step exercises on pg. 9 as well. Please also prepare pp. 14-16.

Everyone should now have their transcribed solo complete from memory and on manuscript paper – please be prepared to play your solo for us on Sunday.

Please work on lifting the Wolverine Jazz Band’s arrangement of Caravan. Also, please transpose Avalon to Eb for Ben’s vocal.

We will work on St. Thomas, St. James Infirmary, After You’ve Gone, Panama, Caravan, Dead Man Blues, Exactly Like You, Five Foot Two, I’ve Found a New Baby, Mooche, Si Tu Vois Ma Mere, Singin’ the Blues, Don’t Blame Me, Avalon, Canal St. Blues, All of Me, and Black Bottom Stomp (time permitting).

Please work really hard, enjoy your private lessons, and be ready for Sunday’s rehearsal.
