JUST A REMINDER FOR TOMORROW’S REHEARSAL –

We’ll see you by 6:30pm tomorrow, Sunday, 1/12, at Flesher-Hinton Music Store for our 6:30-9:00pm weekly rehearsal.

Jake W – Please remember to bring your signed trip rules sheet on Sunday.
Everyone – Please remember to bring your completed and signed medical emergency form, along with copies of both sides of your medical insurance card tomorrow.
TRANSCRIPTION ASSIGNMENT: Everyone is required to transcribe a solo from our professional recordings. We should be able to listen to all transcriptions this Sunday. Adam is doing “The Mooche,” Jake C is transcribing “Saints,” Jake W is doing “Bourbon Street,” or something else,  Andrew is transcribing “Bill Bailey, and Trevor is transcribing “Washington and Lee Swing.” Copland has already completed and performed his transcription. Josh is working on his drum set technique.

Please be sure the dominant 7th plus nine & pg. 18 in Bill’s Improv Book are prepared.

We will rehearse the last 5 tunes that we’ll perform at the Broadmoor on January 23rd (since we missed them last week). The set list has now been uploaded. Be sure to prepare and memorize all of 15 selections by our January 12th rehearsal. We’ll also need to select the 3 tunes for our performance at the Club on the 19th. We’re planning on “At the Jazz Band Ball” as one of them. The 3 tunes need to be chosen for our January 30th Mile High Jazz Festival performance. We’re planning on performing “Black Bottom Stomp.”

The medical form has been uploaded, which needs to be completed, signed and returned on Sunday. Also, please make a copy of both sides of your medical insurance card and staple it to your medical form. These documents can then be also used for our Sacramento and New York City trips.

The updated cost, packing list and itinerary for the January 23rd through 24th trip have also been uploaded. I’m happy to report that the Denver Jazz Club has financially covered all costs for this trip!
