Saturday, August 6th Performance/Sunday, August 7th Rehearsal

CONGRATULATIONS ON EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES AT THE EVERGREEN JAZZ FESTIVAL!!

Please be sure all selections are memorized for our performance set on Saturday.

This is the last performance with our 3 remaining seniors, so let’s make it a very special performance!

We will be done at 3:00 pm. The senior dinner celebration will take place after that time.

Please work really hard and be ready for this Saturday’s performance.

This is a free performance for all, so please invite everyone you can!

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR REHEARSAL ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 7TH: Please arrive at Flesher Hinton Music Store by 6:15pm.

Please bring your August dues if you have not already done so.

Please remember to bring your listening CD’s to Sunday’s rehearsal.

This will be our first rehearsal with the new band.

We’ll be selecting tunes for our Sunday, August 21st Potluck Picnic performance.

Please prepare the first several pages of Bill’s Improv. Book, as we will work through those beginning chordal exercises.

We may have 1 or more saxophone players who will be auditioning for our band on Sunday – please be prepared to play Royal Garden Blues several times.

We will also rehearse Canal Street Blues, Them There Eyes, Don’t Blame Me, Blue Skies and Cornet Chop Suey.

Please work really hard and be ready for Sunday’s rehearsal.

Sat, 8/6 – 1:00 – 3:00 pm  – Flesher-Hinton Customer Appreciation Day w/New All-Stars (blue/shorts)

Sat, 8/6 – 3:00 – 5:30 pm – (Seniors only) Celebration Dinner

Sun, 8/21 – 2:00 – 5:00 pm – (New Band) August DJC Monthly Session/Annual Potluck Picnic (310 Shadycroft Dr, Littleton) Brats, burgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to share – salad, appetizer, dessert or snack (maroon/shorts).

No rehearsals on 9/4 or 9/11. There will be a rehearsal on 9/18, but no performance.
