Sunday, August 19th Performance and Rehearsal (2-9pm)

On Sunday, August 19th we will meet by 2pm at 310 Shadycroft Drive, in Littleton for the DJC Annual Barbecue/Picnic Performance. Please wear your Maroon/Shorts outfit. Please also bring a dish to share – salad, appetizer, dessert or snack. Up to 2 parents per family are welcome to enjoy the barbecue for free. We will perform at approximately 2:45-3pm and then again around 3:45-4:15pm.

The picnic will conclude at 5pm. We will then car pool over to our rehearsal at Flesher-Hinton Music Store.

Please remember to bring your listening CD’s to rehearsal on Sunday.

Please be prepared to play all your major scales around the circle of fourths. We’ll also do pp. 6 and 8 in the improv book . Please practice so you can do it all from memory.

We will rehearse for the Arvada Estates performance on August 21st. Selections also need to be made for the Labor Day Avo’s Jazz Fest Set.

Please work really hard and be ready for Sunday’s performance and rehearsal.

There will be no rehearsal on October 14th. If possible, I’d like us to start rehearsing on Sunday, October 21st at 11:30am. That way we’ll be prepared to perform at the Club later in the afternoon. So, we would go from 11:30am until 5pm on that particular Sunday.

Please note our fall break will go from November 5th through 22nd. There may be a rehearsal/clinic with Bill on Sunday, November 11th, if he can cover – I’ll let you know.

-Sunday, October 21 – 2-5pm – Car pool to Westminster Elks Club Performance (Bring food money); Performance at 3:45-4:15pm

-Wed, Thurs, Fri or Sat, 1/23-1/26/13 – 2 day stay at the Broadmoor Hotel, Colorado Springs (1 hour performance set at the Colorado Music Educators Association Clinic/Conference).
