Nov 012012

Please be at our early rehearsal at Flesher-Hinton by 3:15pm. Please wear your blue band shirt, khaki band slacks, dress shoes and socks. The rehearsal will go until 5:45pm, and we’ll car pool to the Bull and Bush Pub (4700 Cherry Creek South Dr, Denver). Please bring dinner money as we’ll eat there between performances. We perform around 7:00 until 7:15pm and then again from 8:00 until 8:15pm, along with some possible additional performances with the Summit Hot Seven. Parents, relatives and friends are all invited, as long as they eat and drink at the pub. There is no cover charge. If they want to be seated in the room where the band performs, they may need to arrive by 5pm – it’s not a very large seating capacity. We will be done at 9pm.

Please remember to bring your October dues on Sunday, if you have not already done so.

The set order and reference recordings can be found on the Downloads page. I’ve included a few recordings of My Walkin’ Stick and Water from an Ancient Well. Please prepare both of these new lead sheets.

I’ve also uploaded the Arvada Estates Set List for November 25th and the KUVO radio show selections for November 27th.

Please also be working on: Midnight in Moscow, Potato Head Blues, Cornet Chop Suey, Bye Bye Blackbird, What a Wonderful World, Sing Sing Sing, and the other new lead sheets I gave you last week.

Please work really hard and be ready for Sunday’s rehearsal and performance.

Please remember to bring your listening CD’s on Sunday.

Please be prepared to play pg. 18 in the improv book.
