Sunday, October 2nd Performances at the Summit Jazz Festival and the Boulder Friends of Jazz

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR PERFORMANCES ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2ND: Please arrive at the Red Lion Inn Southeast (3200 South Parker Road, Aurora, CO 80014) by 9:00 am on Sunday. Please wear your blue band shirt, new khaki band slacks, dress socks, and dress shoes. We will perform in the ballroom. A rehearsal and sound check will take place from 9:00 until 10:00 am.
Parents, relatives and friends are invited to attend our performance for free. Parents who would like to attend the pro band sets throughout the day can purchase a discounted $10 badge.

Please be sure all selections are memorized for our performance sets on Sunday.

Please remember to complete your transcription solo project for Sunday’s performances.

We will enjoy a brunch after our performance, so please bring money for that meal. We will then listen to pro bands until our 1:30 pm departure.

At 1:30 pm we will car pool to Louisville American Legion Hall, 1150 Pine St, Louisville, CO 80027.

We will listen to the pros until our 3:15 to 4:00 pm performance set. The final set from 4:15 until 5:00 pm will be a jam session – you will be invited to join the pros at that time.

We will dismiss in Louisville at 5:00 pm. There is no rehearsal on Sunday evening.

We are in the process of updating our website, so please submit a paragraph of bio. info that I can post on the website about you. Please check out the postings that are already up there to give you some ideas on how to write your paragraph. Please email those to me as soon as possible. I’ve only received Rico’s and Ben’s so far!

The photo session will be on Sunday, October 9th at Bart’s photography studio (at Arapahoe and Emporia, near the Shane Company in Centennial). We’ll wear our blue shirts and new khaki slacks. Please plan on arriving by 5:30 pm, and then we will car pool to rehearsal.

Please work really hard, enjoy your private lessons, and be ready for both performances on Sunday.
