Please wear your blue band shirt, khaki slacks, dress shoes and socks. Also bring your maroon shirt. After the photo is taken we'll car pool to rehearsal. Please prepare and memorize the three tunes we are performing at the September session: After You've Gone, A Wink and a Smile, and Wolverine Blues. Also prepare Maple Leaf Rag and St. James Infirmary, which we'll perform at the Summit Jazz Festival on October 3rd. We may also choose to perform 1 additional tune out of these possibilities: Panama, Royal Garden Blues, That's a Plenty, Washington and Lee Swing, and When the Saints Go Marching In. Please listen to the new recordings of Do You Know What it Means to New Orleans?, Indiana, and Jazz-Me Blues, which can be found on the Downloads page.  You can also go there to download the 9/19 DJC Session Set List and the updated complete set list of 42 selections.
Please practice Bill’s improv. book from pp. 8 through 15. Be sure to work with his CD as well. Remember, we'll be doing a notebook check to make sure that Alex and Ray have all 42 selections on our set sheet organized in alpha order.

We will all be attending the Alan Frederickson Celebration of Life Party at the Red Lion SE in Aurora at 7pm on Thursday, September 30th. Please make sure and put that on your calendar.

Enjoy all your preparations and private lessons this week! Please work really hard and be ready for Sunday’s rehearsal.
