PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR OUR REHEARSAL ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH: Please arrive at Flesher-Hinton Music Store by 6:15pm. Please prepare and memorize the two tunes we are performing at the September session: A Wink and a Smile and Wolverine Blues. Also prepare After You’ve Gone, which we’ll perform at the Summit Jazz Festival. Please listen to the recordings, especially the newer ones, which can be found on the Downloads page. Please practice Bill’s improv. book from pg. 6 through 15. Be sure to work with his CD as well. We will also read Singin’ the Blues, Black Bottom Stomp, Cabaret, Indiana, Do You Know What it Means to Miss New Orleans?, and Jazz Me Blues. Remember, we’ll be doing a notebook check to make sure you have all 39 selections on our set sheet organized in alpha order.
The photo shoot had to be postponed until September 12th. Please bring your September Dues to our 9/5 rehearsal.
