Congratulations everyone for an excellent performance yesterday at Meridian Westland – the audience loved you guys so much!! Even with the sound system blowing up, you all performed really well for Lena’s last time with us. Best of luck Lena! We all hope you do so well at Berklee this summer, and good luck throughout the future!!

Mike McCullough (Vocals) will see everyone (No Joey & Caedon), on Sunday, July 9th, for our 3:45-6:30pm clinic/rehearsal at Denver Percussion. The 6 tunes for the Sunday, July 16th Final Denver Jazz Club Performance will need to be rehearsed, along with the revised set list without Tenor Sax, for the rest of our July performances.

Please bring all your music, improv book, and a pencil to every rehearsal. We’ll do pg. 37 on Sunday. Bennett has this week’s listening.

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE FOR A FANTASTIC 2023 NYC CONCERT TOUR! I’M SO PROUD OF EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FOR DOING SO WELL THROUGHOUT THE TOUR!!

We’ll see everyone (No Luna) tomorrow, Sunday, July 2nd, for our 3:45 to 6:30pm rehearsal at Denver Percussion. Gabby will be joining us as a back-up for Luna throughout our remaining time throughout July. This will be Lena’s final rehearsal with us, so let’s make it a really good one! We need to select and prepare our 10 tunes for our Tuesday, July 4th (noon-2:30pm, 1-2 pm Performance; No Luna). The entire set list will also need to be revisited, so we can revise it, as needed (without tenor sax). We’ll rehearse as many selections as possible for Gabby to feel comfortable. Please bring all your music, a pencil, and improv book to every rehearsal. We’ll work on pg. 36 & beyond, in our improv book. Caedon has Sunday’s listening. Sebastian would also like to try adding accordion a bit in our set.

Bennett – Please bring the collapsible stool and hard cymbal case on Sunday, so they can be returned to the Denver Jazz Club.

What a great 16th Street Mall Performance Yesterday! I was so proud of each of you, with all 40 tunes memorized for our NYC Concert Tour!!

We’ll see everyone, by 9am, on Tuesday, June 20th, at Colorado Veteran’s Community Living Center at Fitzsimons (1919 Quentin St, Aurora) for our 10-11am Performance (Maroon Band Shirt, Khaki Band Shorts, Black Belt, Low Cut Socks and Tennis Shoes).

Please bring all equipment, including the PA System, keyboard, bass amp, drum set and carpet, reed stands, and brass stand & plunger mute. Please bring an ice cold water bottle, sun screen, music stands, clothes pins, and a light jacket w/hood.

Then, we’ll see everyone, by 5:30pm, again on Tuesday, June 20th, this time at Q’s Pub & Grille (10133 W. Chatfield Ave, Littleton) for our 6:30-8:30pm Performance. Please wear your bow tie band outfit, and bring all equipment, including the PA System, keyboard, bass amp, drum set, reed stands, and brass stand & plunger mute. Let’s make this final performance before our NYC trip very special – also, this will be Lena’s final performance with our band at Q’s.

Just a reminder that the Final $500 NYC Trip Payment/June 18-July 9 Monthly Dues were due yesterday (Except for Joanna, Lena, Luna, Joey, Caedon and Bennett, who are already paid).
