Congratulations to Cameron and Alec for being selected to the Colorado All State Jazz Bands!!!!!!

Please be at our rehearsal at Tim’s house (6001 S. Detroit St, Centennial) by 12:30pm on Sunday, December 9th. Please wear your blue/slacks outfit. Colton, please bring your drum kit and Trevor, please bring your keyboard.

Tyvon and Cameron – please remember to bring your December dues.

Please have your parent plan on attending our trip meeting at Westminster Elks Club on Sunday, 12/16 from 4:30 until 5:15pm.

On Sunday we’ll need to select the sets to be performed at the December 16th DJC Holiday Potluck Session and CMEA in January.

The set orders and reference recordings can be found on the Downloads page.

Please be sure the 19 selected tunes for the Kloewer’s Holiday party are prepared and memorized for Sunday.

Please also be working on: Midnight in Moscow, Potato Head Blues, Cornet Chop Suey, Bye Bye Blackbird, Sing Sing Sing, Come Fly With Me, Muskrat Ramble, West End Blues, Minnie the Mooche, My Walkin’ Stick, Water from an Ancient Well, and Sheik of Araby.

Please work really hard and be ready for Sunday’s rehearsal and performance.

Please remember to bring your listening CD’s on Sunday.

Please be prepared to play pg. 20 in the improv book.

-Wednesday, 1/30: 5:15-7pm Mile High Jazz Festival at Ralston Valley HS (They are trying to move this to 6:30-8:15pm)

-Thursday, 2/14: (5-7pm) Clinic w/DJC guest trombonist, Jim Fryer (No Cameron) [Denver Musicians Union, 1165 Delaware St]

-Sunday, 2/17: (1-9pm, 2-2:45pm performance) Concert at Westminster Elks Lodge w/Jim Fryer [Includes sound check, performance, dinner

and rehearsal, No Cameron].

-Sunday, 3/17: DJC monthly performance at Westminster Elks Lodge (3:15-5pm) and dinner/rehearsal (5-9pm).

-Sunday, 4/21: DJC monthly performance at Westminster Elks Lodge (3:15-5pm) and dinner/rehearsal (5-9pm).

-Friday, May 24 (evening departure)-Monday, May 27: Possible Sacramento Music Festival Trip
