Concordia on the Lakes loved you guys on Friday – outstanding performance!!
We’ll see everyone on Sunday, June 11th, by 2:15pm, at Westminster Elks Lodge (3850 Elk Dr), for our 2:50-3:15 and 4-4:20pm performances (No Joanna) in between the sets of Jeremy Mohney and his Band. This will be Lena & Joey’s final Denver Jazz Club Session Performance, so let’s make it very special. They will receive their award stars on Sunday. Please wear your maroon/pants band outfit, and bring dinner money, bass amp, brass mute & stand, reed stands, and cymbals. Please be sure all 6 tunes are memorized for Sunday’s performance.
Parents are always admitted free to the Denver Jazz Club Sessions.
At 5:15pm we’ll car pool to a quick dinner on our way to our very important 6:45-7:15pm Required Parent/Student New York City Trip Meeting (No Joanna & Bennett) at Denver Percussion. If health and/or insurance card changes have taken place, please bring copies of the new insurance card, and complete the attached health forms. I will hand out the paperwork I had for Fresno, so you can make changes on the same forms. But I do need any new insurance card copies, if the last copies are no longer valid. We will go over the trip expectations, packing list and trip itinerary at Sunday evening’s meeting.
At the 7:15-9pm rehearsal, we will select and rehearse all the tunes we’ll be performing at Mercury Cafe (6/17), 16th St. Mall (6/18), Veterans Community (6/20), Q’s (6/20), and our NYC Concert Tour (6/24-6/30). Please bring all your music, a pencil, and improv book to every rehearsal. We’ll work on pg. 36 in our improv book.
