The $500 trip payment #4 was due on December 31st, so please bring as much of that as possible, if you haven’t paid yet.
The January dues were due on the 4th, so please bring them on Sunday, unless you’ve already paid.
Please be prepared to play pg. 26 and also “Bourbon Street” in all 12 keys.
The rest of the transcription solos are all due – Spencer (Oriental Strut), Ben (Finish Big Butter and Egg Man), Tom E (Finger Breaker), Andrew (St. James Infirmary), and Tom M (I’ve Found a New Baby).
We will rehearse the Wind Crest Set for Monday’s performance, along with the Mile High Jazz Festival set.
Bill heard us perform My Walkin’ Stick on Sunday. He has provided us with Maurie’s personal lead sheet. The chords are what Queen City uses and he feels the melody looks perfect. Bill has also provided us with Wende’s recording of LuLu.
On Sunday we will also continue to work on: My Walkin’ Stick, Lulu’s Back in Town, Cornet Chop Suey, Exactly Like You, Lazy River, Alabama Jubilee, and Bye Bye Blackbird.
On Monday, January 26th, please arrive to the Wind Crest Retirement Community, Main Building’s front door, 3235 Mill Vista Rd, Highlands Ranch, by 6:15pm. We will need all equipment (bring the keyboard just in case) and please eat dinner before you arrive. Please wear your maroon/slacks band outfit. We perform from 7:30 to 8:30pm. We should finish up there by 9:30pm.
