We’re in the final push everyone! We’ll see everyone on Thursday, July 27th, by 9:30am, at the Evergreen Christian Church (27772 Iris Dr, Evergreen), for the 9:30am to 5pm Evergreen Jazz Festival Workshop. Please dress casual and bring the drum set, bass amp, all your music, and a pencil. A complimentary pizza lunch will be served. final rehearsal at Denver Percussion.

Be sure and catch my KUVO 89.3 Jazz Radio live interview at 7:30am on Friday, regarding the “One Last Time Celebration” on Monday, at Q’s!!

On Friday, selected students will rehearse in the Friday Student Band. Everyone, please arrive by 9:30am, for our band rehearsal, until approximately 11:30am. Please wear your blue/shorts outfit and bring everything for performance – bass amp, cymbals, reed stand, and brass stands and mutes. The Friday Student Band will perform sometime in between Noon and 2:15pm. No festival badges are required for this first educational festival session, at the Elks Lodge (27972 Iris Dr, Evergreen).

Our featured performance set will be in the Evergreen Lake House (29612 Upper Bear Creek Rd, Evergreen), from 2:30 until 3:30pm. Festival badges are required, but each student will receive a complimentary badge for participating in the workshop. We’ll take the shuttle to the Lake House, if it’s running – Otherwise we’ll need to car pool.

We’ll then shuttle back to the Elks Ballroom and listen to some festival performances, before our appearance with the Holland/Coots Jazz Quintet at 5-6pm.

A Quick transfer then will need to be made back to the Lake House for our performance with the Queen City Jazz Band, during their 6:15-7:15pm set. We should be able to dismiss around 7:30pm.

On Saturday, July 29th, we’ll see everyone by 5:30pm, for our 6:30-8:30pm performance at the Mercury Cafe (2199 California St, Denver), for the very last time!

Please wear your bow tie band outfit, and bring dinner money, PA System, bass amp, brass mutes & stands, reed stand, and drum set. Please be sure all 18 tunes are memorized for Saturday’s performance. We’ll be able to dismiss around 9pm, as usual.

Once again, the Mercury Cafe will be collecting the $10 per person cover charge, so each musician will get $8 of the cover, for every person they bring to the performance on Saturday night.

On Sunday, July 30th, we’ll see everyone at Parfet Park, in Golden (701 10th St.), by 11am, for our Noon-1:30pm Performance at Buffalo Bill Days. Please wear your maroon/shorts band outfit, and bring all equipment, including the keyboard, drum set, bass amp, brass mutes & stands, and reed stand. Gear drop off is at the stage, on Washington Ave. Then park in the Visitor Center Parking across the street. We should be able to dismiss around 2pm.

Then, we’ll see everyone (No Caedon), by 6pm, at Holly Creek Retirement Community (5500 E. Peakview Ave, Centennial), for our 7-8pm performance. Please wear your maroon/shorts band outfit, and bring all equipment, including the PA System, drum set, bass amp, brass mutes & stands, and reed stand. We should be good to go around 8:30pm.

On Monday, July 31st, we’ll meet at 5pm, to set up for our “One Last Time” 6-9pm performance at Q’s Pub & Grille (10133 W. Chatfield Ave, Littleton). Please wear your blue/shorts band outfit, and bring all equipment, including the PA System, keyboard, drum set, bass amp, brass mutes & stands, and reed stand. Luna is also bringing a tuba. We should be good to go around 9:30pm.
