We’ll see everyone on Sunday, July 23rd, by 3:45pm, at Denver Percussion, for our 3:45-6:30pm final rehearsal at Denver Percussion. This will also be the final rehearsal of the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars, so let’s make it very special.
Please bring all your music, a pencil, and improv book, as usual. We’ll work on pg. 38 in our improv book.

We’ll need to continue working on the revised set list without Tenor Sax, for the rest of our July performances. The Evergreen Jazz Festival Workshop tunes, Ice Cream, and Wabash Blues, will need to be prepared, along with our hour long EJF Performance Set. We’ll also need to select and prepare our 2 joint professional band EJF sets, the 7/29 Mercury Set, Buffalo Bill Days (7/30), Holly Creek (7/30; No Caedon), & the Final 3 Hour Q’s Party Performance Sets.

Friday, July 28 (9:30am-7:30pm; Bow Ties) Evergreen Jazz Festival Performances (Selected Students in the Friday Select Band Perform Between Noon and 2:15pm at the Evergreen Elks Ballroom; DJCYAS Set then takes place at the Evergreen Lake House, 2:30-3:30pm; A couple tunes will be performed with the Holland-Coots Quartet at their 5 to 6pm Elks Ballroom Set; and a performance will take place with the Queen City Jazz Band sometime during their 6:15 to 7:15pm Set at the Evergreen Lake House.
