We have now confirmed that our next scheduled rehearsal will be on Sunday, March 8th, from 3 until 5:30pm. We will then have our performance (now confirmed) with Your Father’s Mustache Band, at the Bull and Bush Pub, until 9pm.
See you by 3pm on Sunday, March 8th, at Flesher-Hinton Music Store, for our 3 to 5:30pm early rehearsal. Please wear your blue/slacks band outfit and bring dinner money, as we’ll car pool to the Bull and Bush Pub (4700 Cherry Creek S. Dr, Denver). Our performance sets will run 6:50 until 7:15 & 7:50 to 8:15pm. Additional joint performances will also take place with Your Father’s Mustache Band. We’ll dismiss by 9pm.

A CHANGE HAD TO BE MADE TO OUR SUNDAY, MARCH 15TH SCHEDULE. WE WILL NOW HAVE A VERY EARLY 11AM TO 1:30PM REHEARSAL, FOLLOWED BY OUR MARCH CLUB PERFORMANCE, FROM 3:50 UNTIL 4:15PM. WE WILL DISMISS ON THE 15TH AT 5PM.
Please remember that we’re advertising the April auditions for our 2015-16 DJC Youth All-Star Band, starting on March 1st, so let any musicians that you can recommend know. Please let me know any contact information for your recommended students. I’ll send everyone an audition announcement on March 1st.
I’m checking on current passports – so far, I know the Culbertson family, Ben, Mika, Tom E, Andrew, and Tom E. have current passports, or are in the process of obtaining them (can’t expire before February 1, 2016). Everyone must have a current passport by April 1st!
At Sunday’s rehearsal we’ll do Coker Exercises #87 & 88 at the start of rehearsal.
Please be prepared to play pg. 29 and also “Bourbon Street” in all 12 keys.
We will rehearse the 6 selections for the Bull & Bush Pub set.
Bill heard us perform My Walkin’ Stick. He has provided us with Maurie’s personal lead sheet. The chords are what Queen City uses and he feels the melody looks perfect.
On Sunday we will also continue to work on: I Ain’t Got Nobody (lead sheet), Alabama Jubilee and Bye Bye Blackbird.
There will be NO REHEARSAL on Sunday, March 1st!
